Cellist and Julliard/UMich professor Richard Aaron commissioned me to write a song for solo voice and cello octet (inspired by ''Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5" by Villa-Lobos), to be premiered at the Aspen Music Festival. I worked with an MFA Poetry friend on the project.
Unfortunately, it wasn't premiered over the summer (they had trouble fitting it into a venue) But, it is scheduled for two performances in Ann Arbor at the end of January 2015. More to come!
